A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent,
Washington, relating to the City's creation of
a street utility.
WHEREAS, RCW 82.80.050 grants cities authority to create
a street utility; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 1270 dated February 5, 1991, the
City Council declared its intent to create a street utility and
directed staff to proceed with the development of such a utility;
and
WHEREAS, city staff has researched the matter and has
prepared an ordinance creating a street utility; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A public hearing on the creation of a street
utility and assessment of utility fees pursuant thereto shall be
held at a regular meeting of the Kent City Council at 7 p.m. on
February 18, 1992 in Council Chambers of the City Hall, Kent,
Washington.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall give proper notice of
the hearing and cause notice to be posted as provided by law.
