WHEREAS, Steve Dowell has been a Kent City
Councilmember since January 21, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Dowell will conclude his term of
office on January 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, he has worked tirelessly to promote high
quality government services while keeping a lid on government
spending; and
WHEREAS, he has consistently been well-informed on
Council issues, asks questions and maintains a sense of humor;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Kent wish to acknowledge the contribution and service provided by
Councilmember Dowell to the City and to its citizens; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and the City Council of the
City of Kent, on their own behalf and on behalf of the citizens
of the City of Kent, do hereby extend to Councilmember Dowell
their thanks and appreciation for his contributions and service
to the City of Kent and to further commend him for the sincerity
and dedication with which he has approached his duties and
responsibilities as a Kent City Councilmember during his term of
office.
Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
