A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, amending the City of
Kent Comprehensive Transportation Plan, adopted
by Resolution No. 1014 to classify Lind Avenue
from East Valley Highway to 180th as a minor
arterial.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Kent, washington, adopted
the City of Kent Comprehensive Transportation Plan by passage of
Resolution No. 1014, as amended by Resolution No. 1032; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Transportation Plan describes
an Arterial Plan, initially developed to provide for
transportation needs resulting from implementation of the city's
Comprehensive Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Arterial Plan, at the time of Comprehensive
Transportation Plan adoption, did not depict Lind Avenue from East
Valley Highway to 180th; and
WHEREAS, at a public meeting on December 18, 1990, the
Planning Committee recognized the need to include Lind Avenue from
East Valley Highway to 180th in the Comprehensive Transportation
Plan and to classify it as a minor arterial; and
WHEREAS, the Kent City Council held a hearing on
January 2, 1991 to consider the classification of Lind Avenue from
East Valley Highway to 180th as a minor arterial; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Arterial Plan, as contained in the City
of Kent's Comprehensive Transportation Plan, as adopted and
amended by Resolution No. 1014 and 1032 respectively, is hereby
amended to reclassify Lind Avenue from East Valley Highway to
180th as a minor arterials.
