HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Committees - Fireman's Relief and Pension Board - 10/02/2007 I�EIVT 1Mns eincrou Firemen's Relief&Pension Board October 2, 2007 Board Members Present: Suzette Cooke, Albert Bond, Tim Clark, Sam Grubbs, Alternate Gene Grenstad, Brenda Jacober Others Present: Bomrie Fell, Kathleen Etheredge Mayor Cooke called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m. Minutes. Clark moved to approve the minutes o f the regular meeting of July 3, 2007. Grubbs seconded and the motion carried. Financial Transactions. Fell distributed copies of the June, July and August 2007 financial reports, and said there hasn't been much change since the last meeting. She pointed out that there is a difference of$2300 in retained earnings between May and August. Clark moved to accept the fmanciat transactions for June, July and August 2007. Bond seconded and the motion carried. Adjustment to CPt Rate. Etheredge explained that a miscalculation was made when determining the CPI to be provided at the July 3T`I meeting. She indicated that the rate should have been 4% instead of 2.48%, and noted that three members are affected. After a brief discussion, Clark moved to change the adjusted July 1, 2007 CPI rate for this Firemen's Relief and Pension calculation to the CPT-W rate for Seattle, Tacoma and Bremerton area at 4.0% and to pay the adjusted increase to the effected Firemen's Relief and Pension recipients retroactively to the July 1, 2007 effective date. Grubbs seconded and the motion carried. Other Business. There was no other business to come before the Board. Next Meeting Date. It was noted that the next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. Adjournment. The meeting adjourned at 3:47 p.m. Brenda Jacober t City Clerk I
