July 3 , 1990
Proper legal notice having been given , a special meeting of the
City of Kent Economic Development Corporation was called to order
at 6 : 30 p .m. in the second floor Conference Room of the Kent City
Hall .
PRESENT Chairman of the Board Jim White , Board members :
Steve Dowell , Jon Johnson , Walt Ramsey and Ted
Knapp , Corporate Counsel Bill Williamson , Bond
Counsel David Thompson of Preston Thorqrimson ,
Treasurer Tony McCarthy and Secretary Marie Jensen .
STRENG
Thompson explained that the purpose of the meeting was to pass a
bond resolution authorizing $850 ,000 for Heinz and Renate Streng
for the purpose of relocating their machine shop from Seattle to
Kent. The inducement resolution ( #1990-47) was adopted at the
April 20 , 1990 meeting of this corporation . Upon White ' s ques-
tion , Thompson briefly explained the project noting that there was
nothing different in this application than in the many the cor-
poration has already handled. It was determined for Williamson
that the documents listed in the resolution did not have to be
approved individually. Thompson explained that this was a standard
deed of trust and there were no further questions . DOWELL MOVED
to adopt EDC Resolution #1990-49 , approving the bonds as described .
Johnson seconded and t e motion carried unanimously .
MINUTES
The minutes of the special meeting of April 20 , 1990 were approved
upon Johnson ' s motion , seconded by Dowell and carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned at
6 :45 p . m.
