Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.H�
Hembers present: kuieser, Wine-beckler, Kennedy, Anderson, Turner, Frazier, Strain
and Bogard.
Emofficio members: Sherwood and Wilke
Motion carried by Turner that Paul Wieser be named acting chairman.
,S�ticr carried by Strain that minutes be dispensed with.
A letter was read from the Engineering firm of Ordman, F=ck,;
Hosley and Reed requesting the preliminary plat be a)p:Cred.
Hr. R. W., Willett of the above named firm presented arlmarts
Kentwooe 'Tills for the plat. Mr. Sherwood stated that he objected to the
Division 2 alignment of streets because it did not allow .for access " o
additional property. Hr. Willett agreed to cran��e the plat to
conform to the City Taigineerts request but asked for approval
of the alignment of 262nd Street.

The secretary read a letter from Bay Construction Co. regarding
a proposed gravel pit, rock crusher and preliad nary plat.,
Eugene ke..alia, 25038 Lake Fenwiak Road, protested because of
the location in relation to his property and of the noise aril.

approved project be approved subject to the approval of the City Ev±,ineer
with respect to insuring that the grade remains unchanged at the
property line, also Bay Construction Co. provide a bond to the
City of Kent with a sum as decided by the City Council. 11110tion

A letter from C. Ralph Flemming was read by the secretary re-
auesting the property) described as follows be changed from
un�<,iied to Comm.: Lot 6, Block 4 of Federal Hig)away Addition.
Mr. . E:i.lis stated that the property had been zoned commercial by
Permit, for King County and is to be zoned commerical in the new Kent zoning
Kenneth Lamb ordinance. At the present time the property is rnzoned.
approved Notion was made by Frazier, seconded by Turner to zone the

S 262nd St. in Motion was made by Frazier, seconded b, Turner, that the align-
prelim. plat ment of 262nd Street be accepted subject to the approval of the
Kentwood Hills #2 City Engineer. Motion carried.

Se-.retary read a petition from Bowen Scarff and Dr. R.i" to
vacate a portion of an unnerei street adjacent to their property
in the Washington Central Improvement Co. Piat- City "aigineer
Scarff - Rugg stated that he had no objections to the vacation. Turner movedr
Petition approval seconded by Kennedy to recommend to the City Council the
recommended acceptance of the vacation of the street subject to a 20 foot
easement to be given to the City. ,lotion carried.
Letter was read from Ms. Pike requesting to build 10 more apart•-
ment units in a residential zone. lair. Pike spoke on behalf of

tabled Kermedy moved to withold a decision until fu.r�h.e.° study can be•
made by the Planning Commission.
Motion carried.
Four votes affirmative, three votes negative.
Letter was read by secretary from City Attorney with regards to
Masonic Hall legal procedure. After much discussion motion was made by ress fromur-
egress plan nerr seconded by Anderson to accept the

approved parking area to the City street. iviotion carried.
