A meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on
April 10, 1975. Present were Warren Bell. Hal Cline,
Ken Yahn, Chief Arnie Bryant , Chief Mc$uery and Sgt.
Boudreau.
A motion was made and seconded to correct the minutes
of the previous meeting to read that Capt. Frank Vasey
would be a member of the Lieutenant Oral Board instead
of Lt. Heil. Motion carried. The minutes were approved
as corrected.
Sgt, Boudreau spoke on the subject of the passing score
versus the top 7 candidates going to the Oral Interview
for the Sergeant exam. After discussion, the commission
decided that the original decision would be used.
Personnel files will not be used in promotional exams
except in case of a tie score.
A motion was made and seconded to direct the secretary
to post a copy of the minutes of the previous meeting
as soon as they are made available to the commission
members. Motion carried.
A motion was made and seconded to direct the secretary
and chief examiner to post a notice announcing the
Lieutenant exam would be held before April 23,
contingent on receiving the materials. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be on Monday, April 28, 1975, at
7 P.M. in the conference room at Fire Station #1.
