Phase 1 of the project will focus on implementing state legislation that has a deadline of June 30, 2025. More background information about the project can be found here: https://engage.kentwa.gov/recodehousing. During the workshop, the project team would like to discuss the following with LUPB to receive early input. General Questions about State Mandates: 1. Do LUPB members have questions about any state mandates? 2. Are there concerns about Kent's compliance with certain laws? 3. Are there other Comprehensive Plan implementation priorities that you would like this project to consider addressing? Questions about Middle Housing. 1. Do LUPB members have questions or concerns about middle housing and HB 1110 (middle housing) compliance in Kent? 2. Are there areas of the city that make more sense to encourage or incentivize middle housing? 3. Do LUPB members have input on how middle housing can be successfully integrated in Kent's neighborhoods? 4. Are there certain types of middle housing that should be emphasized in the middle housing code?
