Gowe Street Item Description 1. Call to order - The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. 2. Roll Call - Excused: Hind 3. Changes to the Agenda - None 4. November Minutes - Olmsted made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Kristenson seconded and the motion carried unanimously. 5. Treasurer's Report - October month end reports were distributed for review. 6. Performing Arts Committee A. Spotlight Series -2024-2025 updates: Magical Strings on 12/8 was completely sold out. Thanks to ushers Julianna and Ryan. Jazz at Lincoln Center's New Orleans Songbook is the next show on 1/24. 130 tickets sold as of 12/11. B. 2025 Summer Concerts update - Thursday evening concerts will move to Morrill Meadows Park. 7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee A. City Art Plan - 2025-2029 - Visual Arts Committee met; staff will have a finalized plan for approval in January. The public may submit written public comments that relate to an agenda item by emailing: cityclerk@kentwa.gov by 3:30 p.m. on the day of this commission meeting. After 3:30 p.m., written public comments may only be submitted in person by presenting them to the commission secretary at the public meeting. Written public comments that do not relate to a committee agenda item are not permitted. Written public comments are not read into the record. Unless otherwise noted, the Arts Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Centennial Building, 1st floor conference rooms, 400 W. Gowe St., Kent, WA 98032. General updates/other business A. 2025 Community Arts Support Program - Kent Downtown Partnership application. Olmsted made a motion to approve funding in the amount of $1,250 for KDP's Crow Mural Relocation Project. Caravaglio seconded and the motion carried unanimously. B. 2025 Officers - Spreitzer made a motion to approve the slate of officers as presented. McLaughlin seconded and the motion carried unanimously. -Chair: Ryan Olmstead -Vice Chair: Countess Stekovic -Treasurer: Jen Treese C. Bylaws - Update to reflect current location -French made a motion to update the bylaws as proposed. Treese seconded and the motion carried unanimously. D. Retreat follow up - Values statement 9.
