Agenda:
1. Call to Order
Chair Thomas called the meeting to order at 5:34 PM.
2. Roll Call
Chair Thomas and Commissioner Weissich were in attendance. Commissioner
Mitchell was not present.
3. Changes to the Agenda
There were no changes to the agenda.
4. Approval of the Minutes
Commissioner Weissich made a motion to approve the minutes from the
May 22, 2024, regular Commission meeting. Motion was moved and
seconded by Chair Thomas; motion passed 2-0.
S. Consent Items to Accept

A. Letter dated May 24, 2024, from Recruitment Manager Stephanie King to
Pearlina Chhaysymeexo confirming job offer for the position of Chief Civil
Service Examiner/HR Analyst effective June 3, 2024.
B. Letter dated June 1, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Ofc. Brandon Lyon notifying
him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is
appointed to regular employment status effective June 1, 2024.
C. Letter dated June 1, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Sgt. Corey Chapman
notifying him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is
appointed to regular employment status effective June 1, 2024.
D. Letter dated June 1, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Sgt. Doug Whitley notifying
him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is
appointed to regular employment status effective June 1, 2024.
E. Memo dated June 6, 2024 from Chief Padilla accepting the resignation of
Ofc. Vincent Alatorre effective June 20, 2024.

F. Letter dated June 10, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Brian Ortiz congratulating
him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective July 1,
2024.
G. Letter dated June 13, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Brennan Clark
congratulating him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer
effective July 1, 2024.
H. Letter dated June 15, 2024 from Chief Padilla to Sgt. Brandon Li notifying
him that he successfully completed the probationary period and is
appointed to regular employment status effective June 15, 2024.
I. Memo dated June 18, 2024 from Chief Civil Service Examiner Pearlina
Chhaysymeexo detailing eligibility list removals through June 18, 2024.
There being no questions, Commissioner Weissich made a motion to accept
items A-I. Chair Thomas seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0.
6. Items to Approve
A. Continuous testing eligibility list for Entry Level Corrections Officer that was
established on June 14, 2024.
B. Continuous testing eligibility list for Entry Level Police Officer that was
established on June 14, 2024.
C. Continuous testing eligibility list for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that
was established on June 18, 2024.
D. Continuous testing eligibility list for Lateral/Experienced Corrections Officer
that was established on June 18, 2024.
There being no questions, Chair Thomas made a motion to approve items A-
D. Commissioner Weissich seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0.
7. Action Items
Memo dated June 11, 2024 from Chief Padilla requesting a six-month extension
of the Police Sergeant eligibility list.
Commissioner Weissich made the following motion: "I make a motion to
approve a six-month extension of the Police Sergeant eligibility list." Chair
Thomas seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0.

There being nothing further, Chair Thomas made a motion to adjourn.
Commissioner Weissich seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0. Meeting was
adjourned at 5:37 PM.
