Your starting base salary will be at Probationary KPOA, Step-D, at an annual salary of$104,376.00 per year. You will be eligible
for a step increase on the first of the month following your successful completion of probation. You will be placed on probationary
status for 12 months from your date of hire. You will be provided with a leave bank of 150 hours of annual leave and 200 hours of
sick leave. Additionally, you qualify for our$10,000 Lateral Hiring Incentive which is payable in two payments($5,000 on your first
paycheck and $5,000 upon your successful completion of probation; less applicable taxes).All other benefits will follow your union
contract. Upon your successful completion of probation. you are eligible for a training opportunity of your choosing within the
prescribed parameters( up to $1,000, up to one week, in-state, and job related)to further your professional development.

MOTION: I move to authorize the appointment of Stephanie King as the
Assistant Secretary/Chief Examiner as set forth in Rule 4.02 (h7).
Dear Commissioners:
In order to accommodate the testing requests of the Police Department and
provide for additional coverage during vacations and/or absences, I am
exercising my ability to appoint an assistant examiner. The incumbent is a non-
represented employee and is able to assist with the proctoring of exams, data
entry, and filing as permitted by rule 4.02(h7). Rule 4.02 (h7) states:
7. In performing any of the above duties, the Secretary/Chief Examiner may use the services and/or
advice of a qualified professional consultant. In addition, the Secretary/Chief Examiner may
appoint an Assistant Secretary/Chief Examiner to assist in the administration under his or her
supervision.
Stephanie King, the city's Recruitment Manager, will be assigned this role. She
will assume my duties as Secretary/Chief Examiner in the case of emergencies
and/or scheduled absences. She performed the duties of Secretary/Chief
Examiner prior to my appointment to the role.
