Call to Order Chair Thomas called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. 2. Roll Call All Commissioners were in attendance and all attended remotely. Commissioner Weissich was having technical difficulties at the beginning of the meeting but was able to join later. 3. Changes to the Agenda There were no changes to the agenda. 4. Anuroval of the Minutes Chair Thomas made a motion to approve the minutes from the March 27, 2024, regular Commission meeting and the minutes from the May 9, 2024, special Commission meeting. Stephanie King Acting Civil Service Chief Examiner May 22, 2024 Page 3 of 3 05/24/2024 Dear Pearlina, This letter is to confirm our recent job offer for the Regular position of Chief Civil Service Examiner/HR Analyst in HR- Employment(Stephanie King). We are looking forward to working with you in this capacity and know that you will have a great deal to offer the City and its residents. As a condition of your employment, you must successfully pass a pre-employment background check. The city has partnered with Sterling to conduct this part of the hiring process. Please provide them with the information they request to complete the background check in a timely manner. On the assumption that there are no issues with your background, your employment in this position will be effective 06/03/2024. Your annual salary will be$99,660.00,which is pay grade 37 and step C.You will be eligible for a step increase, pending a successful performance evaluation, on June 1, 2025. In this overtime exempt position, you will receive Management Benefits at a C level. The value of that benefit is$1,878.24 for 2024. The amount you will receive has been prorated based on your hire date and equates to$1,017.38 for the remainder of 2024. Should you elect to purchase management leave with your Management Benefits, those hours are available for use immediately. As a new employee, you will accrue eight hours of sick leave and eight hours of annual leave each month.Your sick leave is available for use as soon as it is accrued. Accrued vacation leave is available for use the month following your six(6) month anniversary with the City. You will also receive two personal holidays,which are available for use at your discretion with supervisor approval. All other benefits are the same as those provided to other non-represented employees. As discussed, I am aware that you have a planned vacation June 24th-28th.You can elect to use management leave and/or your personal holidays to cover this time off of work. Your position in this office is an "at will" position, subject to immediate termination with or without reason at any time by the Human Resources Director(or designee).
