Agenda:
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4:01 p.m., with Zenovia Harris presiding.
2. Roll Call

3. Changes to the Agenda
Haffner moved to approve the agenda as presented, seconded by Piecewicz.
Motion passed unanimously.
4. Welcome Newly Appointed Member - Kristie Duggan, Position No. 4
Duggan shared that she is a long time Kent resident and Thunderbirds season
ticket holder. She also serves as Chair on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
5. Auuroval of Minutes dated Auril 27, 2023
Harris moved to approve the minutes dated April 27, 2023, seconded by
Piecewicz. Motion passed unanimously.
6. Election of Officers for 2024
Chair - Zenovia Harris, Vice Chair - Greg Haffner, Secretary - Jeff Piecewicz.
Haffner Motioned to approve candidates, seconded by Piecewicz. Motion
passed unanimously.
7. Financial Retorts
a. City of Kent. Joe Bartlemay, Cash and Investment Officer, presented
the ShoWare Center Operating Fund through September 30, 2023, and
provided a detailed overview of each line item for both revenues and
expenses and provided further details on the SMG Income Loan Proceeds,
transfers in from the General Fund and Capital, in addition to
expenditures related to the bank account adjustment, Debt Service on
the SMG Loan and lifecycle maintenance. Bartlemay reviewed the Kent

Special Events Center Public Facilities District Fund through September
30, 2023, and also provided additional details on the sales and use tax
revenues and expenditures related to the debt service.
b. accesso ShoWare Center. Tim Higgins, SMG General Manager, provided an
overview of the accesso ShoWare Center 2023 Income Statement for the
three months ending on September 30, 2023 Actual to Budget Comparison.
S.Onerations Update
a. General Manager Update. Higgins talked about upcoming events and
detailed recent and future capital projects, including the rebranding of
concessions stands, a new audio system and upgraded security cameras.
b. Marketing_Update. Kelly Spreitzer-Saucer provided the marketing update.
Showare has been open for 15 years and has had 7.2 million people come
through the doors.
9.Seattle Thunderbirds Un, date
Thunderbirds President, Colin Campbell was not in attendance. Spreitzer-Saucer
advised they had 10 playoff games at Showare last season and held their season
opener on September 30, 2023.
10. Adjournment
Harris adjourned the meeting at 4:29 p.m.
