ORIGINAL AGREEMENT DATE: 8/16/2023
This Amendment is made between the City and the above-referenced Consultant or Vendor
and amends the original Agreement and all prior Amendments. All other provisions of the original
Agreement or prior Amendments not inconsistent with this Amendment shall remain in full force
and effect. For valuable consideration and by mutual consent of the parties, Consultant or
Vendor's work is modified as follows:
1. Section I of the Agreement, entitled "Description of Work," is hereby modified to add
additional work or revise existing work as follows:
In addition to work required under the original Agreement and any prior
Amendments, the Consultant or Vendor shall:

provide additional project management services.
2. The contract amount and time for performance provisions of Section II "Time of

The Consultant or Vendor accepts all requirements of this Amendment by signing below, by
its signature waives any protest or claim it may have regarding this Amendment, and
acknowledges and accepts that this Amendment constitutes full payment and final settlement of
all claims of any kind or nature arising from or connected with any work either covered or affected
by this Amendment, including, without limitation, claims related to contract time, contract
acceleration, onsite or home office overhead, or lost profits. This Amendment, unless otherwise
provided, does not relieve the Consultant or Vendor from strict compliance with the guarantee and
warranty provisions of the original Agreement.
All acts consistent with the authority of the Agreement, previous Amendments (if any), and
this Amendment, prior to the effective date of this Amendment, are hereby ratified and affirmed,
and the terms of the Agreement, previous Amendments (if any), and this Amendment shall be
deemed to have applied.
The parties whose names appear below swear under penalty of perjury that they are
authorized to enter into this Amendment, which is binding on the parties of this contract.

RE: Additional Services Request
Per your request, this is a proposal to amend the consulting contract for East Hill North
Community Park. This will expand the scope as it relates to the project management portion of
the contract. As the PM scope for EHN solidified, other areas of management have come
into play not previously in the purvey of the original scope. Some permitting items that we
are now covering for the project from the Parks side, I have been handling, in addition to the
procurement and coordination of the prefabricated restroom. This has caused some of the
PM fee from the previous few months to be billed more than planned, and I anticipate this
to continue as we coordinate these items moving forward.
In total, this additional services request is$38,000. This request is to address these
specific items in addition to the ongoing management level:
-BPA Easement permit submission (ongoing). Submit and coordinate permit required to
work in the BPA easement.
-King County Dept of Health (restroom) permit submission. Work with Greenflush
(restroom supplier)to apply for necessary KC dept of health permit required for restroom.
Coordinate with design team and COK staff as needed.
-Soos Creek Water District - connection application (ongoing) Work with SCWD for
connection permit to supply water to park property. Coordinate as needed with COK staff
and design team.
-COK Building permit Greenflush restroom—Coordination with restroom supplier for
building permit needed.
-Greenflush Restroom - coordination and procurement- Direct procurement of restroom
and coordination with project team and staff for specifications. Design coordination,
fixtures, electrical, structural and delivery of unit.
-Additional consultant management (Institute of Applied Ecology) and coordination
between project team and staff. Facilitate and coordinate the creation of long range
management plan, planting plans, and necessary SITES related material generated
through the engagement of IAE
As scoped originally, there is$25,700 for project management through 2024. So far in the
first 7 months we have used approximately18K of the 25K, spending more than double the
amount of fee forecasted. Some of this was to coordinate the above items, and some was
just settling into the level of management needed. Covering at the same level of

management through 2024 we would, at minimum, need to increase the projected fee to a
total for project management of$63,000 (additional$38,000). If we go beyond 2025,we
may need to revisit again.
With this increase, my goal is to keep this level of project management consistent with a
successful project, while remaining flexible to the needs of the project. I will continue to
project a minimum level of hours needed and work with the Kent Parks to provide services
as needed for this great project.
