Call to Order Chair Thomas called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. 2. Roll Call All Commissioners were present and all attended remotely. 3. Changes to the Agenda There were no changes to the agenda. 4. Approval of the Minutes Commissioner Weissich made a motion to approve the minutes from the August 23, 2023 regularly scheduled Civil Service Commission meeting. Motion was moved and seconded by Commissioner Mitchell; motion passed 3-0. 5. Consent Items to Accept A. Letter and corresponding memo regarding the promotion of Amber Horejsi to the position of Probationary Corrections Sergeant effective September 1, 2023. B. Letter dated August 23, 2023 from Chief Padilla to Daniel Bartolo congratulating him on being hired as a Probationary Lateral Police Officer effective September 18, 2023. C. Letter dated August 25, 2023 from Chief Padilla to Ofr. Daniel Joss notifying him that he successfully completed probation and is appointed to regular employment status effective August 25, 2023. D. Letter dated August 31, 2023 from Kaitlin Powers to Chief Padilla tendering her resignation effective September 2, 2023. E. Letter dated September 1, 2023 from Chief Padilla to Ofr. William Guyer notifying him that he successfully completed probation and is appointed to regular employment status effective September 1, 2023. F. Memo dated September 6, 2023 from Chief Padilla accepting the resignation of Kaitlin Powers effective September 1, 2023. Memo dated September 8, 2023 from Chief Padilla regarding the notice of discipline for Ofr. Mark Williams. H. Letter dated September 11, 2023 from Sgt. Schanbacher congratulating Edward Fadler on being hired as a Probationary Municipal Court Officer effective September 18, 2023. I. Letter dated September 14, 2023 from Asst. Chief Grove to Kenneth Holifield reinstating him as a Probationary Corrections Officer effective September 18, 2023. J. Letter dated September 16, 2023 from Chief Padilla to Cmdr. Josh Bava notifying him that he successfully completed probation and is appointed to regular employment status effective September 16, 2023. K. Letter dated September 18, 2023 from Christy Warren to Sarah Hoffman congratulating her on being hired as a Probationary Police Records Specialist effective October 2, 2023. L. Memo dated September 20, 2023 from Chief Examiner Winecka detailing the eligibility list removals through September 20, 2023. There being no questions, Commissioner Mitchell made a motion to accept items A-L. Commissioner Weissich seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. 6. Items to Approve A. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Corrections Officer that was established on August 25, 2023. B. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Police Officer that was established on August 28, 2023. C. Eligibility list for the rank of Police Commander that was established on September 15, 2023. D. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Police Officer that was established on September 20, 2023. E. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Corrections Officer that was established on September 20, 2023. There being no questions, Commissioner Weissich made a motion to approve items A-E. Commissioner Mitchell seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0. 7. Action Items There were no action items. S. Adjournment There being nothing further, Commissioner Mitchell made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Weissich seconded the motion; motion passed 3-0.
