1. Call to Order/Roll Call:
Commission Chair Duggan called the meeting to order at 05:30 p.m.
2. Changes to Agenda:
Added new item listed as number four by Deputy Director Brian Levenhagen
3. Approve Minutes dated October 25, 2023:
Approved
4. East Hill North Park Update:
Deputy Director Brian Levenhagen shared an "East Hill North Project Update" PowerPoint
presentation with the Commission. Q&A occurred. No actions or decisions were made.
5. Election of Chair and Vice Chair:
Q&A occurred. A vote was taken. Commissioner Sarah Veele was elected Chair, and
Commissioner Take Kim was elected Vice-Chair unanimously.
6. Follow up on Park Code:
Director Parascondola had no updates to share and will continue to refine. No actions or
decisions were made.
7. Commission Planning, Updates, and Discussion:
Discussed Parks notification systems, Morrill Meadows opening, and Riverbend
Restaurant. Q&A occurred. No actions or decisions were made.
8. Director/Commission Updates:
Director Parascondola shared updates on King County Parks Levy, King County Interurban
Trail Agreement with PSE, Kent East Hill Operations Center (KEHOC) Campus Park
improvements, and Kent Commons renovation.
9. Adjournment:
Commission Chair Duggan concluded the meeting at 7:04 p.m.
