The work you are describing would be a change order to the project. That change order would be part of Schedule 3 which is Non- Eligible to separate it from the TIB work, we expect that this change order would be paid for by Parks. To get a price for the change order the contractor will need plans and details for all the work you would like included. Do you have plans and details for the work you are describing? Our design section is not currently in a position to be able to help prepare any plans for this work. So you have an idea of where you stand on cost, Pay estimate 2, Schedule 3 cost was $144,000, and looking at the bid tab there is maybe $15,000 of outstanding work remaining. Bid tabs don't include internal costs for design and construction, (assume 20%) puts you at N$190,000. Drew Holcomb, P.E. In talking with Jason earlier this week, there is a need to run perf pipe that would potentially go through the alignment of the existing sign. Talking with Brian and Will this week, that sign is scheduled for replacement and the sign is on order. They were not originally planning to remove the brick and landscaping, but were definitely open to it if there was support to do that financially. I also know that Todd and Park Ops would like to see that brick and existing landscaping go and replaced with something more modern. All that being said, there would need to be some kind of pad to mount this sign to if all of that existing infrastructure is demolished. I think there is a reasonable solution to all this, which I can fund through my project budget. Will reminded me that there is a flag pole and electrical and lighting that needs to be preserved, so that will need to be located in this work. It might be best to schedule an on-site meeting with folks in this group (plus any others that need to be invited) to coordinate all the items and figure out the right solution. We have no use for the existing sign, so you are ok to dispose of it unless someone from PW wants it. Flagpole, lighting, and irrigation will be preserved. Parks/Facilities will be responsible for installing the new sign. 4 Let me know an approximate cost when you have an idea, but billing to force account sounds good. I'm not sure what day yet, but I wanted to make sure that everyone was informed. Our Crews will remove the sign and the base. Our crews will dispose of the sign unless someone wants it. We will leave the flag pole and protect the lighting conduit. I also want to confirm that we are not responsible for when the new sign will be installed. We will track this work separately as force account and write a change order charged to schedule 3 for the project. If anyone has any questions feel free to give me a call.
