B. 2016-2017 booking update
-Staff provided update, schedule to be finalized in the next month or two.
C. 2016 Summer Concert Schedule YES
-Jen Treese made a motion to approve the 2016 Summer Concert Series
line-up. Hal O'Brien seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee Staff Billerbeck 5
A. Centennial Center Gallery
March show: Student Art Walk
Reception - March 17, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
April Show: Ann Reid, Peter Boome, Jerry Gordon
Reception - April 21, tentative
B. 2015-2019 City Art Plan
Kent Creates update - Demo tentatively schedule for Arts Commission in May.
C. 2016-2020 City Art Plan YES
Staff presented the plan approved by the Visual Arts Committee.
Suzanne Smith made a motion to approve the 2016-2020 City
Art Plan. Sharona Chandra seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The plan will go to the March Parks Committee meeting.
D. 2016 Summer Art Exhibit Jurors YES
Sharona Chandra made a motion to accept Joseph Steininger and
Humaira Abid as 2016 jurors. Susan Machler seconded and the motion
carried unanimously.
8. SOCO Update NO Chair Cox 5
-March 8 meeting - Ronda Billerbeck presented
The Herbert Bayer Earthwork as part of a panel
focused on creative place making.
-February 24 Commissioner Summit - Dan Cox,
Suzanne Smith, Michael Taskey, and Linda Mackintosh attended.
