work at West Hill Skate Park, Morrill Meadows, East Hill Park,
and more.
2. 2015-2019 City Art Plan No
-Meeker Street Underpass project - discussion/next steps?
Commissioners discussed the potential project. Many feel that the
site is fundamentally dangerous and poorly designed, and, given that,
not a good place to invest public art dollars. Others felt that an art
project - of the right scale and design - could help to improve this
highly visible "gateway" site. Discussion included the recommendation
to get guidelines from Washington Department of Transportation before
moving forward. The group consensus was to wait for the next update
before making any decisions.
-Kent Arts DIY update: An RFP went out in early July for web
developers to design the platform. Two well qualified candidates
applied and were interviewed earlier today (August 11) by a panel of
city staff and Arts Commissioner, Dan Cox. A final decision will be
made this week.

rubber bracelets. Staff will research.
