Roberts Mark Howlett Dr. Sam Hartt This is to notify you that the Kent Bicycle Advisory Board will hold a public meeting on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 5:45 PM in the North Conference Room of the Centennial Building 400 W. Gowe St. Kent,WA. The public is invited to attend. The agenda will include the following items: 1. Opening remarks and introductions. Any items to add to the adgenda? 2. The update (05) of Parks and Facilities Map was submitted about Dec 11, 2014 to the Parks Department for use in updating their map. Proposed create a city map. 3. Where is Parks on their Kent Valley Loops project? Is a map to be created for this? 4. What is the latest on the Interurban to Green River Regional Trails Connector? (Mark) 5. Formally submit these and follow up with Public Works—Mel. Two documents, one for SE 248th St and one for I I6th Ave SE, were given to Public Works. They contained information on the Shoulders/Bike Lanes/Sidewalks. What action is needed to make these streets bicycle friendly? Can the work be scheduled? 6. We would like to see plans for these items created: (Mel) Identify and paint the thru bike lanes where they are missing on the left sides of right turn pockets, Identify road segments for installing Sharrows. Identify road segments to be re-configured using"Road Diet"techniques. Identify road segments for installing"Green Bike" lanes, where cars cross Bike Lanes Consider doing a bicycle video. Does a"bike/pedestrian" 2015 plan exist? (Mark) 7. Discuss creating a letter with KBAB endorsing a two way multi-use trail along S 228th St. Needed by Jan 5th. FYI—this letter was submitted. This item is complete. 8. Status of a Cross Valley Bike Route(s)—East Hill portion. A meeting was held Jan 23rd to look at a couple preliminary routes off East Hill. Next Meeting Feb 6th. In work. Adjourn Old news: Review proposal to buy and install crosswalk signs on the streets that cross the Interurban Trail. Cost estimate and location data will be available. Need more members. Kent Bicycle Advisory Board (KBAB) meeting dates in 2015 are: Jan 26, Feb 23, Mar 30, Apr 27, May 26-Tues (Rm 303), Jun 29 Jul 27, Aug 31, Sep 28, Oct 26,Nov 30, Dec 28. The Last Monday except May.
