21, 2010 meeting, Casey seconded, Motion passed.
Marquee Update — Kurt Hanson
The Marquee is up and nothing but good news coming out of the community! We
came in below the budget and are complete except for a flashing at the bottom of the
pole. The last payment of $500 which has not been paid yet is for a flashing at the
bottom of the pole. ShoWare has received a lot of calls because of the marquee and
everything has been positive. One of the things the marquee has been used for is
traffic control, this was not one of the uses intended but it is working great. When
the parking lot is full they use it to direct people to the park and ride lot.

• 2011
Bob gave a 2011 update and is projecting a 1% growth in revenue. We will still keep
our contract with Seattle Southside, chamber and the $20,000 for the Lodging Tax
unallocated fund. See report attached.
Softball Request
A concern from the Kent Hotels on this request is; are they going to get any stays
from it? ASA hired an agency to book the rooms for the, hotels have been contracted
in Seattle. The numbers should be good about 1000 people plus family members.
The ASA has a hold on ShoWare for an opening ceremony. The hotels are concerned
because it is a busy weekend and they want them to hold a group of rooms and also
pay them a commission.
