of each month at Kent City Hall, Chambers

1. Call to Order/Roll Call:
Commission Chair Duggan called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. Changes to Agenda:
None
3. Approve Minutes dated December 15, 2022
Friendly Changes to Item 6.
4. Commission Function and Roles:
Director Parascondola gave the commissioners a 'Commission Planning" Handout
to recap the Commission's role and receive feedback on what the commission
feels their role should be. Q&A occurred. A subcommittee under quorum to
discuss the wording of commission roles and functions. "Commission Function and
Roles" to stay as an ongoing Agenda item.
5. 2023 Work Plan and Discussion Topics:
Director Parascondola reviewed page 4 of the handout in Agenda Item four and
discussed upcoming events, and requested feedback on possible topics. Q&A
occurred. Commissioner Taek to provide a link to Video for Commission to view
for discussion on Climate Resiliency.
6. Director/Commission Updates:
Teen Center - Phoenix Academy is turning back into a school. We will still have
teen programs but at different locations for space. In talks with the school district
for potential areas. The may presentation will have a Teen Space update.
Lifeguard challenges still exist.
7. Adjournment:
