Hi Andrea,
No problem, I am happy to answer any additional questions you may have! Attached is your your agency's previous
contract and agreements.Your account is currently on auto renew and has a $200 minimum commitment. This means
you are billed for how many searches you conduct in a month and not by how many users you have on the account. This
means you could have an unlimited amount of users on your account but the only time you are billed is when those
users run searches. We recently had a company wide price action that went into effect on 1/1 that now requires all
accounts to invoice at a $200 minimum. This means your agency will now be required to conduct at least$200 worth of
searches. If you do not reach the $200 mark, whatever amount is left over to have you reach that amount will be added
onto your bill. I have also attached a price sheet that shows you which searches are included in your subscription and
1
which ones are not and their associated price per search.Terminations can happen at anytime, however I ask my
customers to give me at least a week notice so I can give my back office enough time to process this. I should note that if
you want to cancel in the middle of the month, it is better to wait until the end the month because regardless you will
still be billed for the full month. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
Thank you,

You don't often get email from amadsen@kentwa.gov.Learn why this is important
Morgan:
I called into your company today to get some information on our contract and was given your
contact information. I'll give you what little background I have, and we can go from there! We
recently received an invoice from LexisNexis (#1559532-20230131) and my boss was going
through his approval process and came up with some questions. We've had some turnover at
the city so no one is here now, that was here when the original contract was signed (July,
2
2016). At that time, Barbara Lopez was our Deputy Finance Director, and she signed all the
necessary paperwork. I wanted to find out if we have a current contract, what the terms are, is
the contract auto renewal, what are the termination requirements, and lastly, what is the cost
that we are supposed to be paying monthly and annually, and how does that break out as far as
number of users, records accessed, etc. Of course, there may be more questions but that will
be a good start!
I'm relatively new at the City of Kent (January 3, 2023) and was given the task of securing this
information. I would appreciate any information and guidance that you can give. Thank you!
