LTAC Grant to ECD to Support the Visit Kent Tourism Promotion Campaign Presentations by both members of the Jay Ray Team and their colleagues on the east coast from Datafy, who produce and manage narrowly targeted data driven marketing campaigns using goelocation data from personal devices, is somewhat hampered by technical issues and problematic acoustics in a split meeting space. The 2023 campaign, which was ongoing as of the date of this meeting, has demonstrated increased impressions and engagements, and the JayRay proposal for 2023 is well received by Committee Members, who vote to recommend that proposal head to Council, by way of the Economic and Community Development Committee meeting in January. The committee agrees that they would like to take a closer look at the findings from the soon to conclude 2022 campaign, so JayRay and Datafy will return in early 2023 for a deeper dive into their campaign results and findings. MOTION: Recommend Council award $133,500.00 Lodging Tax Funds to Economic and Community Development to renew and invigorate the Visit Kent tourism promotion campaign currently managed by Jay Ray.
