1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 4 p.m., with Chair Harris presiding.
2. Roll Call

3. Changes to the Agenda
Carmen Goers moved to approve the agenda as presented, seconded by Jeff
Piecewicz. The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0.
4. Auoroval of Minutes dated October 28. 2021
Goers moved to approve the minutes dated October 28, 2021, seconded by
Piecewicz. The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0.
S. Financial Reports
A. City of Kent. Shane Sorenson, City of Kent Senior Financial Analyst,
presented the ShoWare Center Operating Fund through March 31, 2022.
Sorenson reviewed the Kent Special Events Center Public Facilities District Fund
through March 31, 2021 and also provided additional details on the revenues and
expenditures.
B. accesso ShoWare Center. Arletta Voter, Director of Finance, provided
details of the accesso ShoWare Center 2021 Income Statement Actual to Budget
Comparison for 2021. Details were provided on the Shuttered Venue Operator Grant
funds received.

6. Operations Update
A. General Manager Update. Tim Higgins, General Manager talked about
the ongoing impacts due to COVID mandates, including cancelled events and capacity
limitations. Higgins advised of the upcoming events in addition to talking about the
use of the Shuttered Venue Operator Grant funds.
Higgins indicated he is conducing a recruitment for an Assistant Director of Food and
Beverage and they are bringing on an intern for event coordination.
Higgins talked about raising the minimum wage and also provided details on the
installation of the new scoreboard.
B. Marketing Update. Tim Higgins provided the marketing update at the
same time of the General Manager Update.
C. City of Kent Update. None.
7. Seattle Thunderbirds Update
Thunderbirds President, Colin Campbell advised of the challenging year due to
restrictions.
Campbell talked about growing their relationship with the Kraken.
Campbell also talked about the current state of ticket sales and corporate and
advertising agreements.

City of Kent Economic and Community Development Director, Kurt Hanson expressed
appreciation of Randall Smith's service on the board since its inception. Hanson went
onto inform the Board of the current process to fill the upcoming vacancy.
Randall Smith expressed his appreciation of his ability to serve on the board for 15
years and thanked everyone for their service.
