Attending: Jeff Piecewicz, Chair- excused absence; Pauline Thomas,
Commissioner; Callius Zaratkiewicz, Commissioner; Natalie Winecka,
Secretary/Chief Examiner
Agenda:
1. Call to Order
Acting Chair Zaratkiewicz called the meeting to order at 5:34 PM.
2. Roll Call
Chair Piecewicz had an excused absence due to a work commitment.
3. Changes to the Agenda
There were no changes to the agenda.
4. Approval of the Minutes
Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve the minutes from the
January 26, 2022 Civil Service Commission regularly scheduled
meeting. Motion was moved and seconded by Acting Chair
Zaratkiewicz; motion passed 2-0.
S. Consent Items to Accept
A. Letter dated January 13, 2022 from Ofr. Jen Prusa notifying Chief Padilla of her
intent to retire on April 1, 2022.
B. Letter dated January 20, 2022 from Chief Padilla congratulating Travis Medalla on
being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective March 1, 2022.
C. Letter dated January 25, 2022 from Ofr. Adam Ferguson notifying Chief Padilla of
his intent to resign effective February 4, 2022.
D. Memo dated January 25, 2022 from Chief Padilla accepting the resignation of Ofr.
Adam Ferguson effective February 4, 2022.
E. Memo dated January 27, 2022 from Chief Padilla of a Notice of Discipline for Ofr.
Taylor Burns.
F. Memo dated February 3, 2022 from Chief Padilla accepting the retirement of Ofr.
Jen Prusa effective April 1, 2022.

G. Memo dated February 8, 2022 from Chief Padilla notifying the Commission that
Cmdr. Phil Johnson will be assigned as Provisional Assistant Chief beginning
January 16, 2022 and not to exceed four months.
H. Letter dated February 8, 2022 from Chief Padilla congratulating Christopher
McCallen on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective March 1,
2022.
I. Memo dated February 21, 2022 from Chief Examiner Winecka with eligibility list
removals through February 21, 2022.
There being no questions, Acting Chair Zaratkiewicz made a motion to
accept consent items A-I. Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion;
motion passed 2-0.
6. Items to Approve
A. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Entry Level Police Officer that was established
on January 25, 2022.
B. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that was
established on February 4, 2022.
C. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that was
established on February 8, 2022.
D. Continuous Testing Eligibility List for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that was
established on February 21, 2022.
There being no questions, Acting Chair Zaratkiewicz made a motion to
approve items A-D. Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion; motion
passed 2-0.

There being nothing further, Commissioner Thomas made a motion to adjourn.
Acting Chair Zaratkiewicz seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0. Meeting was
adjourned at 5:37 PM.
