C. Schuck. CAG2022-442 11/20/22 Contract From:Schuck, Christina To:Osborn, Lynn Cc:Higgins, Bryan;Reyes-Selden, Tania;Finn, Kelly Subject:RE: Play eqpmt. purchase thru KCDA Date:Tuesday, October 25, 2022 1:42:03 PM Hi Lynn, Yes, Bryan can place the order with KCDA. You will also need to route this all through the Mayor via pink sheet to put the LSI contract and PO on file with the City. My suggestion is to route your attachment to this email, i.e., the packet you put together for Council, so this is all properly documented. You can put a note on the pink sheet that the only signature you need from the Mayor is on the pink sheet. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Christina From: Osborn, Lynn <LOsborn@kentwa.gov> Sent: Thursday, October 20, 2022 3:43 PM To: Schuck, Christina <CSchuck@kentwa.gov> Cc: Higgins, Bryan <BHiggins@kentwa.gov> Subject: Play eqpmt. purchase thru KCDA Hi Christina. The attached $254K play equipment purchase passed Council on Tuesday 10/18. We are buying through the manufacturer LSI’s Master Agreement with KCDA cooperative purchasing organization, not a direct contract with LSI. There is no city contract to sign, so other than creating a Purchase Order for KCDA and adding this to the Local Vendor Exception List, are there any other steps we must take now or can Bryan just place the order with KCDA? Through our world. Long before it was fashionable, Landscape Structures built a culture of sustainability, designing products that keep kids active, while going far beyond what was required to protect the environment during manufacturing processes. In fact, we began putting formal environmental processes in place more than 20 years ago, and Landscape Structures received its certification to the ISO 14001 environmental standard more than a decade ago. We are the first playground manufacturer in North America to receive that certification of environmental responsibility. Landscape Structures has been recognized as a Minnesota Waste Wise Leader for its outstanding waste reduction and recycling efforts. We partner with American Forests to plant trees to offset the carbon produced during the manufacturing of every play structure we sell, supporting the planting of more than 350,000 trees since 2010. In 2008, we received the Tekne Green Award for our commitment to sustainability.
