Pursuant to the delay in reconciling the recent changes to the FY2023 Task Force Agreements and
subsequently sending the Agreements to the Field Divisions, I am extending DEA's commitment to the
terms of the FY2022 Agreements to December 31, 2022. Task Force Officers adhering to the terms of the
FY2022 Agreement will continue to have authorities granted pursuant to 21 U.S.C. Section 878.
Additionally, DEA funded positions will continue to be reimbursed during the extension period, subject to
the availability of funds.
All FY2023 Agreements must be returned to the Investigative Support Section (ODS) prior to December
31, 2022.
Please communicate this directive with your State/Local counterparts, who may include acceptance of the
new term by written acknowledgment including email or by continued performance. If you have any
