Item Description
1. Call to order – Vice Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m.
2. Roll Call – Excused: Cox, Absent: Taskey
3. Changes to the Agenda – Addition of item to 8.A. (KDP project scope adjustment)
4. November Minutes – Mackintosh moved to approve the minutes as written,
Bagrationoff seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
5. Treasurer’s Report – October month end reports sent with meeting packet.
6. Performing Arts Committee
A. Spotlight Series 2020-2021
-Taj Mahal livestream – Participated as a marketing affiliate for this livestream
on 11/17, 15 tickets sold.
-Magical Strings Celtic Yuletide virtual concert – Webcast on 12/6, 156 tickets
sold and overwhelmingly positive response.
7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee
A. Public Art Updates:
-Downtown rotating mural project – Call to Artists is active with a deadline of
January 8. City Council panel representative will be Brenda Fincher,
Commissioner representatives will Be Colleen Maloney and Gerard Philpotts.
B. Gallery
-Brett Rude and Ian Shearer – Nov/Dec (Canceled)
-Enid Smith Becker and Susanne Kelly – Jan/Feb (will likely be canceled)
C. Kent Creates:
-2020 – Silver Linings exhibit closes December 31, 22 submissions so far.

8. General updates/other business
A. 2020 Community Arts Support Program:
-Rainier Chorale Project Scope Adjustment – Philpotts made a motion to
approve the proposed scope adjustment. Caravaglio seconded and the motion
carried unanimously with Mackintosh abstaining due to membership in the
recipient organization.
-Kent Downtown Partnership Project Scope Adjustment – Caravaglio made a
motion to approve the proposed scope adjustment. O’Brien seconded and the
motion carried unanimously with Kristenson abstaining due to involvement in
the project.
B. 2021 Officers – Bagrationoff made a motion to approve the slate of officers
as presented. Kristenson seconded and the motion carried unanimously. (2021
will be: Chair – Suzanne Smith, Vice Chair – Dan Cox, Treasurer – Gerard
Philpotts)
C. SOCO Culture – No report
D. Kent School District – No report
