The meeting was called to order at 3:01 p.m.

3. Public Comment
There was no public comment.
4. Approval of November 19, 2020 Minutes
Commissioner Robinson MOVED to approve the Minutes. Commissioner Demssie
SECONDED the motion. Motion Passed.
5. Public Hearing - CDBG
Senior CDBG Coordinator, Dinah Wilson, provided a summary of information on changes
to the 2019 Annual Action Plan, 2021 Annual Action Plan, and 2020-2024 CDBG Citizen
Participation Plan.
The Public Hearing was opened at 3:12pm. There was no comment.
Commissioner Parry-Moor MOVED to approve the Second Amendment to the 2019
Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) Annual Action Plan. Commissioner
Robinson SECONDED. Motion approved unanimously.
Commissioner Bellisario MOVED to approve the NOTICE of Second Public Hearing
Regarding the Community Block Grant (CDBG) 2021 Annual Action Plan. Commissioner
Robinson SECONDED. Motion approved unanimously.
Kent Human Services Commission Meeting January 21, 2021

Commissioner Hallerman MOVED to approve the Public Notice and First
Amendment to the 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) Annual Action
Plan and Second Amendment to the 2020-2024 CDBG Citizen Participation Plan.
Commissioner Michaud SECONDED. Motion approved unanimously.
6. Grant Making Equity
Senior Human Services Planner, Lori Guilfoyle, provided an update on work being
done by consultant, Equitable Future LLC. Equitable Future will complete an
evaluation of our most recent funding process. Preliminary data and
recommendations to institutionalize racial equity are expected in early March.
7. Future Meeting Topics
Commissioners expressed interest in future meetings on mental health, supports for
families schooling from home, and a presentation from staff at Orion.
8. Updates
Due to COVID, there will not be a Point in Time Count this year.
Severe Weather Shelter Exploring options outside of shelter. Due to COVID
the congregate shelter in not an option. Looking at emergency supply
distribution and working with outreach providers to inform residents and plan
coordinated response in the event of a severe weather event.
King County has identified ShowWare as a vaccination site. Staff toured the
location last Sunday.
