Item Description
1. Call to order – Chair Cox called the meeting to order at
2. Roll Call – Excused: Bryan Ohno
3. Changes to the Agenda: Removal of Item 8.C. – holdover from January agenda;
addition of item 7.E. Traffic Signal Control Box art wrap locations
4. January Minutes – Taskey made a motion for the minutes to be approved as
written. DuBois seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
5. Treasurer’s Report – No report this month. January financials have not yet closed.
6. Performing Arts Committee
A. Spotlight Series 2021-2022
-International Guitar Night – 299 attended (85% capacity)
-Mariachi Herencia de Mexico – 128 attended; 75 students at K-M lecture/demo
-Live from Laurel Canyon – 2/12/22, 280 currently sold, DuBois and Westman
will usher.
-The Drifters – 2/25/22, 307 currently sold, Westman will usher
B. 2022-2023 Booking – Confirmed artists include Jazz at Lincoln Center’s “Songs
We Love,” Magical Strings, International Guitar Night, Ray on My Mind. Offers have
been extended to We Banjo 3, Darlingside, Catapult.
7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee
A. Titus Railroad Park Mural – Potential locations discussed
B. West Hill Reservoir mural – feedback provided
C. Gallery – James Borchers & Mycah Higley: January/February; Summer Art
Exhibit call is open with a deadline of March 9.
D. Kent Creates – “Inspired by Greatness” open through March 31

E. 2002 Traffic Signal Control Box art wrap locations. Taskey made a motion to
accept the list of locations as presented. Caravaglio seconded and the motion
carried unanimously.
8. General updates/other business
A. Give Me Culture Grant application iD.A.Y. Dream
Olmsted made a motion to approve $150 of funding. French seconded and the
motion carried with ten “yeas” and four “nays.”
B. SOCO Culture – No Report
C. Bylaws – Adopt
