5. 2023-2028 Transportation Improvement Program Update (Draft)
Shivani Lal gave an information-only presentation on the 2023-2028
Transportation Improvement Program Update. The Draft 2023-2028 Six-Year
TIP represents the City's proposed transportation improvement work
program for the next six years. Per RCW 35.77.010, the six-year plan for
each city shall specifically set forth those projects and programs of regional

significance for inclusion in the transportation improvement program within
that region. The program is also required to be consistent with the Kent
Comprehensive Plan.
Including projects in the Six-Year TIP allows the City to search for funding
partners and apply for grants. Most State and Federal agencies require that
projects being submitted for grants be included in the City's adopted Six-Year
TIP.
6. LUPB Training
Kaelene Nobis gave an educational presentation. Kaelene emailed out links to
two videos that the board members watched prior to this meeting.
