King County Rate Restructure
King County Solid Waste Division is providing a $25,000 grant to the city to pay a solid waste contract consultant,
Epicenter Northwest, to amend the city's solid waste contract with Republic Services. The amendment is needed
because King County is restructuring the way it is collecting its rate beginning in 2023. Epicenter's final work with
Kent will be used by the county as a template for other cities who use Republic Services to amend their contracts.
