The project includes raising the existing road to prevent flooding, concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, street lighting, storm drainage, and channelization. This section of roadway is in the lowest portion of the Mill Creek Sub-basin which floods during significant rain events, multiple times per year. The project will raise the roadway by approximately 3.5 feet. This will elevate the entire segment above the FEMA 1OO-year flood elevation. Existing asphalt pavement will be replaced with concrete pavement. The roadway will include 5- foot sidewalks with a S-foot buffer and S-foot paved shoulder, oq =oY a Mayor Dana Ralph City of Kent Public Works NB THRU LAN E SB THRU LAN E CEN TER LAN E 5'5.5 1 6 t 12'16'5.5 t 5' SIDEWALK SID WALK ANDRAIL TYPICAL SECTION LOOKING NORTH NOT TO SCALE FACE OF CURB TO FACE OF CURB WIDTH_ ++' TYPICAL SEGTION CITY OF KENT .
