Project Prospectus
76th Avenue South - North Segment
Description of Proposed Work:
This project will construct road and drainage improvements along 76th Avenue S from
S 212th Street to 1,000 feet south of S 212th Street. The project includes raising the
existing road to prevent flooding, concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, bicycle lanes,
street lighting, storm drainage, and channelization. This section of roadway is in the
lowest portion of the Mill Creek Sub-basin which floods during significant rain events,
multiple times per year. The project will raise the roadway by approximately 3.5 feet.
This will elevate the entire segment above the FEMA 1OO-year flood elevation. Existing
asphalt pavement will be replaced with concrete pavement. The roadway will include 5-
foot sidewalks with a S-foot buffer and S-foot paved shoulder,
