The collaboration with the Design team, Parks staff team, 3-Form, NW Playground, Cre8te Play, and Lusio Light have led to a great park design through the collaboration. Please see attached our request for extra services. Please reference the attached spread sheet for dollar amount. Task C Design Meetings and coordination 1.Additional Progress meetings: Our scope did include up to eight progress meetings through design stage of the project. We have attended three additional (1 hour) meetings and anticipate up to 3 (1 hour) more to complete design for bidding. Additional project coordination meetings were added. We will need additional hours for up to 6 additional progress meetings. Task E Permit Support 1.Additional Permit Support Downtown Design Review Permit: Our scope did not anticipate this permit application, but as we had included hours for SEPA support, and the pre-application meeting with ECD and Public works resolved given the small size of the park and lack of earthwork, that SEPA would not be required. Drew suggested the hours for SEPA could shift to support the Downtown Design Review Permit. The anticipated hours to complete the drawing package and filling out the permit application proved more time to complete than just the SEPA form. We are requesting additional services to complete the permit process. Task F Construction Documents 60%, 90% 100% Plans. Specs and Estimate EXHIBIT A 1. Additional design service due to additional comments between 30% design and 60% design: Additional site plan changes between 30% design and 60% design after 30% comments were provided from parks staff. 2. Additional design and coordination related to screen wall lighting: The changes to lighting solutions for the screen wall, product review with Parks staff, and coordination with team members and vendors (3-form and Stoller Lighting). Time also spent to collaborate and research several options. Given construction budget costs to the project we discussed stubbing conduit for the screen wall and that lighting could happen later. Parks preferred to select a light style for getting it into the permit and bid set. We have included a product in the electrical lighting site plan and detailing a connection for bidding. This resulted in additional services for coordination, research, detailing, drafting, spec coordination, and cost estimating. 3. Additional design revisions and coordination related to change in preferred light pole for site: After observation of the projection system at the site, the collaboration and direction to update the light pole fixture product, change from Lumca light fixture to Landscape forms Typology fixture. Design team and Parks agreed a different style light would be preferred. After analysis and discussion, we understood we had direction to update the light fixture in the park. To achieve a preferred lighting solution, Parks recommended reducing the light poles from 4 to 3. Cross performed photometrics with a three light and four light layouts with the new light pole. Drew indicated over the phone and in an email on February 8th that it would be extra time to reduce one pole and relocate one pole, as there is time to change light pole to different product, reduce quantity of light pole from 4 to 3 and site plan one light pole in new location. Electrical (Cross Engineers) and JAB had to expend hours to research new pricing, research warranty, research maintenance replacement costs for fixture. Cross Engineers updated the light pole detail with new fixture type and requirements, added a new detail for the second new pole height, which is the centrally located pole, tracked down new pole light ies file / ran new photometrics, updated the photometric plan, updated circuitry to work with the new Landscape Forms Typology fixture and connection to irrigation control panel, which will be used to control lighting as well.
