Council President Boyce opened the meeting at 5:02 p.m.

Kent Geo Portal Presentation
Catherine Crook, GIS Supervisor, provided information regarding open data portals,
including benefits of Open Government Data. Kent's GeoPortal was completed in July
2018 and currently has L7 data sets for download,
Crook walked the councilmembers through the Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) website where the public can access interactive mapping applications, data
downloads, and map galleries,
Crook reviewed the story maps currently available on the site in addition to providing
details on the EagleView Pictometry ConnectExplore desktop application that is set
to be deployed and will be made available to staff.
Crook advised of Kent's GIS Day and the hands-on demonstrations that made
available to staff.

Crook expressed her appreciation of the GIS group.
Crook provided the council with examples of how these applications will benefit the
public and staff.
Council expressed their appreciation of the work of the GIS group and are excited for
the future possibilities of expanding the information available to include Parks.
228rh | 224th Street Corridor Update
Tim LaPorte, Public Works Director, provided a project history of the City's corridors
and the LIDs that were formed.
LaPorte reviewed a PowerPoint presentation that included information on all corridor
projects past and present.

Project details were provided regarding the South 196th Street corridor, the South
277rh Street Corridor, the South 228th Street Extension Phase 1 (West leg) and the
South 228th Street/BNSF Grade Separation project.
LaPorte reviewed the South 228th' Street Union Pacific Grade Separation - Phase II
Utility Undergrounding and the current work for the South 228rh Street Union Pacific
Phase III - Under contract for storm lining and utility relocations,
Details were provided regarding the South 229th Union Pacific Phase IV
Embankments and Foundations project and LaPorte indicated that South 228th is
closed and will remain closed until the project is completed.
Details were provided regarding the South 229th Union Pacific Phase V - Final Bridge
and Roadway project.
LaPorte reviewed the South 228th/224th Street Corridor funding and advised that the
South 224rh Street Phase 2 project is ready to be advertised for bid.
LaPorte provided information on the Garrison Creek at South 21Bth Creek
Maintenance project and the Puget Sound Gateway Project SR 509.
LaPorte indicated he will return to the Council in January or February to provide
additional information on the proposed funding for the $11.6 million that is still
needed to complete all projects,
