PIace: Council Chambers East/West Attending: Bill Boyce, Council President Tina Budell, Councilmember Brenda Fincher, Councilmember Dennis Higgins, Councilmember Dana Ralph, Councilmember Council President Boyce opened the meeting at 5:03 p.m, Agenda: 1. Vallev Road Construction Uodate Tim LaPorte, Public Works Director and Chad Bieren, Deputy Public Works Director presented information on the city's valley construction projects, including pavement rehabilitation to 80th Avenue South, intersection improvements to S. 2L2th &.72nd , roadway repairs to S. 208th Street, repairs to S. 2!2th Way, and street improvements to S. 224t^. 2. Naden Properties Update Ben Wolters, Economic and Community Development Director presented information on the Naden assembly. Ben provided a brief history of the City's surplus and acquisition of properties. Ben reviewed the site analysis, the WSDOT access break to SR-516/Willis Street, the Study of Development Capacity and Building Massing prepared by WalkerlMacy, in addition to reviewing the utilities, infrastructure evaluation and preliminary engineering, the refurbishing of the Interurban Trail, and the status of the Brutsche property. Ben conveyed reasons why the plan is to reconfigure Naden Avenue and that there is significant hotel development interested in the property. The appraisal of the property is nearly complete and the next steps are to determine the timing and strategy for marketing the property, including seeking requests for information. e ng concluded at 6:12 p.m. Sue Hanson For Kimberley A.
