June, 2016
Cash & Investments—June 30,2016
® One of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage investments was called (redeemed prior to it's
maturity)this quarter. We received the value of the investment ($199,632) plus
interest. This investment earned 1.782%.
o This is similar to when a homeowner refinances a mortgage. The bonds were
paying more interest than they needed to in the current market, so FHLM
redeemed the bonds early.
Statement of Revenues and Expenses—June 30, 2016
® We received the State payment for the Fire Insurance Premium Tax in May 2016.This
year we received $227,666, which is an increase of$8,634 over 2015.
® The pension payments have increased only slightly ($326) as compared to the first half
of 2015.
® Health insurance costs are set by the actuarial and are the same as 2015 costs. Total
costs for 2016 will be$226,000. We are at the half way point and costs are $113,000.
