Changes to the Agenda - None Chair Cox 4. November Minutes YES Chair Cox Smith made a motion to approve the minutes, Caravaglio seconded and the motional carried unanimously. 5. Treasurer’s Report NO Treasurer Report sent to Chandra and filed Chandra 6. Performing Arts Committee NO Staff Billerbeck A. Spotlight Series -Magical Strings: sold-out at 346 -Windham Hill: nearly 80% at 272 B. 17-18 booking update: Staff will send an update and request for input to performing arts committee members. C. “Living room” concerts follow up: Staff mentioned the Kent Lutheran space as a venue option to consider in the future. The church is striving to make the space more of a community concert venue. 7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee NO Staff Billerbeck A. Kent Creates update/voting NO Staff urged commissioners to complete voting ASAP so winners may be notified. C. Maintenance updates NO -Chestnut Ridge weathervane (Peter Reiquam) – replacement slated for spring -Railroad Yard mural (Mary Iverson) – repair slated for spring -Daily Migration (Cheryl dos Remedios) - TBD D. Kent Downtown Partnership proposal NO KDP staff will attend January meeting. 8. Community Arts Support Program Update NO Staff Billerbeck One award recipient for 2017 declined – could not complete the project with partial funding. 9. 2017 Officers YES Chair Cox Chair – Dan Cox Vice Chair – Suzanne Smith Treasurer – Sharona Chandra Corresponding Secretary – Tonya Goodwillie Recording Secretary – Linda Mackintosh -Chair Cox called for nominations from the floor. Hearing none, Machler made a motion to accept the slate of officers as presented. DuBois seconded and the motion carried unanimously. 10. 2017 Committee Assignments NO Chair Cox Assignments will remain the same as 2016. 11. Commissioner vacancy NO Staff Billerbeck 4 people have applied for one vacancy. Staff plans to meet with each applicant early in January. 12.
