7. Action ltems
A. Memo dated June 23, 2OL7 from Chief Examiner Winecka requesting
authorization to revise the testing process for Corrections Sergeant.
Chief Examiner Winecka explained the reasoning behind the request to revise the
testing method.
Chair Zaratkiewicz made a motion to authorize the request to revise the testing
process for the Corrections Sergeant process. Commissioner Piecewicz seconded
the motion; motion passed 2-0.
8. For the Good of the Order
Chief Examiner Winecka noted that the July 26,2OL7 regularly scheduled meeting
will take place in Centennial North/South as there was a scheduling conflict with
Council Chambers.
9. Adjournment
Commissioner Piecewicz made a motion to adjourn. Chair Zaratkiewicz seconded
the motion; motion passed 2-0. Meeting was adjourned at 5:39 PM.

I have accepted Public Education Coordinator John Pagel's email dated June 27,
20t7, announcing his retirement from the Kent Police Department. John's last day
with the department will be November 3, 20t7.
John retired from Law Enforcement March 3L,20L4 and began his Public Education
Coordinator position of 3 years with the City of Kent June L6, 20L4. He's leaving
the department in good standing and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
