-Las Migas, 10/27, Kent Lutheran Church, 125 attended, mixed reviews of venue.
-Magical Strings, 12/3, 3:00 p.m., Kent-Meridian PAC, 209 sold so far, Smith family
to serve as ushers.
-Tapestry Dance Co., 1/26, 7:30 p.m., Kentwood PAC

10. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee Staff Billerbeck
A. Kent Creates: Holiday Traditions NO
-13 entries so far
B. 2017-2021 City Art Plan NO
-Traffic Control boxes update- installation scheduled soon; depends on weather.
-Morrill Meadows/East Hill Park art Parcourse pieces – draft call for artists has
been prepared, staff checking with 4Culture to see if they can host the call
through their online application system.
C. Deaccession or move artwork TBD
-Potential: Spirit Song (1990) and Lacework of the Earth (1992),
Dana Boussard, Council Chambers – Staff is working with the artist to decide on
the best course of action.
D. 2018-2022 City Art Plan NO
-Visual Arts Committee will meet at 4:30 on January 9.

2018 funding panel recommendations
-M. Taskey made a motion to approve the panel’s funding recommendations.
O’Brien seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
