A. Summer Concert Series NO
-Volunteer Sign Up
-Food Truck – A Kent-based food truck: S!iders will be at Thursday evening
concerts this year.
B. Spotlight Series sponsors NO
Staff is sending out sponsor requests for the 17-18 season. Submit ideas for
new prospects.
7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee Staff Billerbeck
A. Summer Art Exhibit NO
-Opening reception recap – Well-attended (approx. 100) and lots of positive
feedback from the artists and public.
B. 2017 Purchase Awards YES
Staff presented the 14 pieces chosen by the purchase jury for the City’s
portable collection. Taskey made a motion to accept the art works into the
collection. Mackintosh seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

-Farmer’s Market update – Low number of submissions so far. Please help get
the word out.

-Project updates: Traffic control boxes – Request for proposals is out; deadline
is June 30.

-Update – Staff participated in a stakeholders design input session.
