Changes to the Agenda Item 4A, Excused Absence for Jeff Piecewicz was added to the agenda. Carmen Goers moved to approve the agenda as amended, seconded by Randall Smith. Approval of Minutes dated January 25, 2018 Smith move to approve the minutes dated January 25, 2018, seconded by Goers. The Motion passed unanimously with a vote of 3-0. 5. Finance Reports A. City of Kent. Aaron BeMiller, Finance Director, reviewed the accesso ShoWare Center operating fund from 2013 – 2017. Details were provided regarding revenues, expenditures, and the ending fund balance. BeMiller reviewed the Kent Special Events Center Public Facilities District Fund ending December 31, 2017, and the Kent Public Facilities District Sales Tax Collections – Inception through December 31, 2017. B. accesso ShoWare Center. Arletta Voter, SMG Finance Director, provided details of the accesso ShoWare Center Income Statement for the quarter ending March 31, 2018, including direct event income, ancillary income, other event income, other operating income, indirect expenses, net income from operations, admission tax, and net income. 6. Operations Update a/b. General Manager/Marketing Update. Tim Higgins, SMG General Manager, advised that the first quarter of 2018 was the best quarter ever. Higgins introduced his staff and indicated that they are the reason that the accesso ShoWare Center is successful. Higgins indicated that January 2, 2019, is the 10-year anniversary of the ShoWare Center. Erin Buck, Director of Sales and Marketing, provided the Public Facilities District marketing update, including total attendance, website traffic, social media activity, and email marketing. Erin Buck reviewed highlights of recent events, upcoming ticketed events, and upcoming community and catering events. B. City of Kent. Kurt Hanson, City of Kent Economic and Community Development Director, provided details regarding the current development throughout the valley that should positively impact the access ShoWare Center. 7. We believe that because a lot of the hip-hop artists that have come in are attracting patrons between 12-18 we are seeing a lot of their parents on the website.  accesso ShoWare Center - 625 W James St - Kent, WA 98032 - Ph 253.856.6999 - accessoShoWareCenter.com  AS OF TODAY – Social Media statistics: @accessoShoWareCenter  Facebook: 14,834 Likes / Reach is up 17% / Post engagement up 229% / Page view continues to rise with new show announcements o We have done a great job between pushing shows and original content and seen interaction with our page rise despite the algorithm change. We have also changed over to interacting more on our “Event” pages on FB to target fans interested in particular events and seen an extremely high interaction rate focusing our efforts here.  Twitter: 2,126 Followers / Averaging 45,500 monthly impressions (Up 7.5%) / Profile visits have gone up almost 12% o Most of our followers on this platform come to our venue twitter for Seattle Thunderbird information or information for Hispanic based shows.  Instagram: 1,541 Followers (Increase 353 followers) / Averaging 10,333 weekly impressions (up 50% from last quarter!) o Instagram continues to grow with our younger followers. With concerts like Post Malone, G-Eazy & Kygo we have seen a rise not only in our followers but our average interaction with posts. AS OF TODAY – Email Marketing information:  123,156 active email subscribers in database (up 3,057 emails) o Our email database continues to grow and allows us to produce content that is targeted to specific consumers. With our targeting campaigns we are seeing more interaction with higher open rates (up 10% from last year), higher click through rates to ticketing links and our unsubscribe rate has fallen.  accesso ShoWare Center - 625 W James St - Kent, WA 98032 - Ph 253.856.6999 - accessoShoWareCenter.com  accesso ShoWare Center News / Highlights for Q2 2018:  Regional Mexican music group Banda MS SELLS OUT the venue on April 8th with over 7,000 Patrons in the building.  Judas Priest SELLS OUT their stop at the venue after they drop their new album “Firepower.” To commemorate this iconic tour a new wall mural has been put up in the venue featuring the original singer, Rob Halford.  Record breaking album sales by the hip-hop artist Post Malone lead to a SOLD OUT performance on April 29th in Kent, WA. The tour was almost completely sold out worldwide.  Norwegian DJ, KYGO, starts his North American “Kids in Love” Tour at accesso ShoWare Center.  Snoop Dogg & MIGOS stops at the venue with their “Wellness Tour” where the headlining act, Snoop Dogg, did 4 shows in two days in four different cities.  The Seattle Mist plays their 10th home season opener at the venue on May 19th against the Nashville Knights. The teams growing fan base has seen increasing numbers this year with more families attending than in years past.  Sugarland returns to the stage after a 5-year hiatus with their “Still The Same Tour.” The band played accesso ShoWare Center the evening before their new album, “Bigger”, dropped giving all those in attendance a first listen.  The new Junior Basketball Association (JBA) hosted their inaugural Seattle game at the venue on June 24th. The JBA brought in teams from Loa Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and a home Seattle Team.  MultiCare brings their quarterly Leadership Convention to the venue with over 1,000 attendees on May 8th. Our Food & Beverage Team catered buffest style breakfast & lunch along with 2 snack breaks.  The Pediatric Interim Care Center hosts their 25th Annual Silver Celebration Luncheon on May 10th. The organization had a seated and formal plated luncheon for 600 guests all catered by our Food & Beverage Department.  accesso ShoWare Center - 625 W James St - Kent, WA 98032 - Ph 253.856.6999 - accessoShoWareCenter.com   WA Senator Joe Fain hosted his upcoming campaign trail kickoff at the venue inviting over 550 supporters to come to accesso ShoWare Center for a seated breakfast.  Kent Downtown Partnership reveals “Lunar Rover” park display at their annual gala hosted at the venue on June 1st. The event was catered with a specialized, formal menu put together by our full time Kitchen staff.  The venue hosted 17 graduations & Commencements in a span of a week and a half. These ceremonies spanned from one per day to four events per day with anywhere between 200 to 1,200 graduates & their families.  The Annual Khalsa Day Festival had a record breaking attendance on May 26th with their 10th Annual Parade & Celebration.  City of Kent Public Works Department brought the community together at the venue for an afternoon of learning and fun activities during the Annual Nation Public Works Day event on May 31st.  For the 10th year in a row the Kent International Festival called the accesso ShoWare Center home.
