I etter of Resignation
The intent of this letter is to inform the department of my resignation effective July 01,2018. After careful
consideration my family and I have made the difficult decision to relocate to the State of Georgia. I have
accepted a military position at Fort Gillem in Forest Park, just outside of Atlanta.
I am grateful for the opportunities provided to me by this department to serve the people of the City of Kent
and to grow and mature both personally and professionally.
I respectfirlly request the opportunity to purchase my flat badge upon separation from the department. My
intent is to place the flat badge in a shadow box as a momentum of my time with this department and with my
other flat badges from my previous agencies rounding out my Law Enforcement career.
Thank you for your time and considerationo

Additional Dimension for Police Department Promotional Processes
Dear Commissioners:
A request to test for the ranks of Assistant Chief and Commander was brought
before the Commission at the May 23,2018 Civil Service Commission meeting.
The request to test included the following competencies to be evaluated:
Oral Communication, Interpersonal Insight, Judgement, Decisiveness, Delegation
& Control, and Problem Analysis
After meeting with our consultants, it was discovered that one dimension was
inadvertently left off the list. In addition to the dimensions listed above, and
already approved by the Commission, we need to also include Planning &
Organization. The initial competencies, as well as Planning & Organization, will
all be equally weighted throughout the testing process.
Respectfu I ly su bm itted,
Natalie Winecka
Secretary/Chief Exami ner
