Chief Thomas,
I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to work for the Kent Police Department. This is a first class
organization, full of first class people. Everyone that works at the agency has been great to me. The training department
was great, the recruitment process was great, and the people I met out on patrol were wonderful. At this current point
in my life I need to step away from the law enforcement field. lt is no longer something that I desire to do, so it is not
fairtoremainhere. ltisnotfairtoyou. ldonotwanttobeheretosimplyjustcollectapaycheck. Personallythatis
not something that I am comfortable with. Somebody that desires to start, or continue their career in law enforcement
deserves to have my spot. I also would not want to let down the men and women who love this job.
Thank you again,
