Spotlight Series Update NO -An Evening with Groucho: March 23 – 221 attended, outreach served 30 KMHS drama students B. 2018-2019 Booking Update -Spotlight Series YES O’Brien made a motion to approve the 18-19 Spotlight Series schedule. Mackintosh seconded and the motion carried unanimously. 7. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee Staff Billerbeck A. City Art Plan -Traffic Control boxes NO Tentative date for dedication: Wed., May 23, 11 a.m. -Morrill Meadows/E. Hill Park art project – report NO Three finalists attended on-site orientation and will present conceptual proposals on 5/21. -Maintenance: WATER, Barbara Grygutis, East Hill Park YES Staff is still waiting for refurbishment/replacement budget from artist Kent Banners, Koryn Rolstad YES Commission is interested in replacing with new metal banners. Caravaglio and Cunningham volunteered to assist staff is preparing options for potential direct- select artists. C. Centennial Center Gallery NO -Current Exhibit – Danny Pierce Collection -Next Exhibit – Summer Art Exhibit, jury met today and selected 57 artworks 8. General updates/other business Staff Billerbeck A. Give Me Culture Applications YES -Kent International Festival – Caravaglio made a motion to approve the $1,000 funding request. Cunningham seconded and the motion carried unanimously. -Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra – Taskey made a motion to approve the $1,000 funding request.
