Call to order 2. Roll Call Excused: Susan Machler 3. Guests A. Traffic Signal Control Box Artists Presentations – Ahmed Davis, Erica Peto, Cheryl Rhodes, and John McLaughlin attended. Staff Billerbeck presented for Cecelia DeLeon and Debbi Commodore. B. Clark Wiegman, Morrill Meadows Parcourse Artist - Concept presentation, Commissioner discussion and input. 4. Changes to the Agenda: None 5. October Minutes YES Taskey made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Cox seconded and the motion carried unanimously. 6. Treasurer’s Report - None NO 7. Performing Arts Committee A. Spotlight Series NO -2018-2019 Update – 190 sold for Molly Ringwald (Ushers: Taskey, Philpotts, Mackintosh, maybe Smith), 263 for Magical Strings (Ushers: Smith) -2019-2020 Booking – efforts on-going 8. Visual Arts/Acquisitions Committee A. City Art Plan Projects -Traffic Control box – vote on designs YES Taskey made a motion to approve the designs (with input to/clarification from Creative Art Space about less negative/black space). Mackintosh seconded and the motion carried unanimously. -Maintenance: WATER, Barbara Grygutis NO Kent Banners, Koryn Rolstad NO C. Gallery: Justin Gibbens and Graham Schodda NO 9. General updates/other business A. Community Arts Support Program YES 2019 Applications/Review – Taskey made a motion to approve total funding at $7,975 ($1,000 to KidsQuest Children’s Museum, $1,500 to Rainier Chorale, $1,000 to Kent International Festival, $1,500 to At the Ridge Theatre, $,1475 to Interurban Center for the Arts, $1,500 for Rainier Youth Choirs). O’Brien seconded and the motion carried unanimously. B. 4Culture Creative Consultancies NO A panel interviewed 5 candidates to assist with downtown art plan development. The top three priorities were submitted to 4Culture. C. SOCO Culture – Meeting 11/14, 10 a.m., NO Kent Commons D. Kent School District/Arts Education – no update NO 10.
