BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Board Chair Melvin Roberts; Board Vice Chair,
Karen Chandler; Board Secretary, Lynell Mooney; board members Frank Boosman,
John Otakie, Andrew Sobczyk and Brandon Swanson.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: April Delchamps, Dan Hansen and Kelly Peterson.
ABSENT: Rich Davis, Aaron Dent, Wendy Graves and Nick Swan.
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:47 PM, with Melvin Roberts presiding.
2. Roll Call
Board member Rich Davis, Aaron Dent, Wendy Graves and Nick Swan were absent.
3. Agenda Additions
Kelly Peterson announced that Melvin Roberts will step down as Board Chair. Karen
Chandler, Vice Chair, stepped in to preside for the remainder of the meeting. Board
members expressed their gratitude for Mel’s passion for increased bicycle facilities
in the City and applying his engineering knowledge.
4. Approval of Minutes
The minutes of May 29, 2018 meeting had not been distributed to be reviewed.
Lynell Mooney will distribute them in July for review of the Board.
5. TMP Bike Map
City of Kent Public Works provided a large format map for each Board member to
begin the process of assisting the City in the update of the 2008 TMP. They asked
for comments on what should be kept and what should be removed and what is not
representing current conditions. April Delchamps will provide the Board with
informational data to assist in the review of the addition of bike facilities.
6. Adjournment
At 6:59 PM, Karen Chandler declared the meeting adjourned.
