Multi-Jurisdictional Drug-Gang Task Force Program Grant - Authorize Chief Padilla presented a motion to authorized the Mayor to approve the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug-Gang Task Force Program Grant in the amount of $114,927. Chief's Update Chief Padilla updated the Committee on the following: ~ Splash Event was awesome with no issues ~ Fireworks complaints on July 4 were down approximately 25% ~ Council President Boyce commented that he observed the day before and after were also less noisy ~ Plans for Cornucopia Days July 12-14 ~ Extra Staffing ~ Road Closures Maureen McCaughan presented on National Night Out scheduled for August 6 ~ Officers and City Staff will be visiting all registered neighborhoods ~ Sign up sooner than later! ~ Council President Boyce asked how it is being advertised ~ Facebook ~ Next Door ~ Neighborhood Councils ~ Coffee with the Chief next door at Cafe on Fourth at 5pm ~ KPD Twitter hit 10,000 Followers! 7.
